Many dogs prefer to lie a little higher. There are fewer draughts, the floor is not cold, and they can see the room. Our Pavilion lifts the bed off the floor and puts a slatted roof over it.
For large dogs we keep the frame low enough to step in comfortably. For older dogs and small breeds we add a step in front if you like. If your dog has joint problems, ask your vet how high the bed should be.
