A sideboard is long and deep, which makes it the easiest place to hide a den for a medium or large dog. The rest stays a sideboard. Drawers for cutlery, cupboards for plates, a top for lamps.

Our Credenza pairs a den with three drawers, and the bottom one holds two bowls. Arcade does the same with a row of arches and colour inside them.

Den: Open, or behind a sliding or slatted door. Lined in felt or left in the board finish.
Feeding drawer: A drawer with two bowls, at a height set by your dog.
Storage: Blum drawers and cupboards that close softly. Push-to-open if you want no handles.
Two dogs: Two dens with drawers between them, each sized to its own dog.

Outside size with one 50 cm drawer or cupboard section next to the den. For large dogs the piece gets taller than a normal sideboard or TV stand. Sizes for the larger dog of each breed, from breed standards. We check them against your own dog.

Questions

What is the difference between a sideboard and a credenza?

Mostly the room it goes in. A credenza is usually lower and longer. We draw either to the height and length you need.

How deep does it have to be?

The den width plus the walls. For a Labrador that is about 75 cm, deeper than a normal sideboard. The table below has the numbers for other breeds.
