We build every piece to measure, which takes 6 to 10 weeks. So under the tree goes a gift card with the design on it. In the new year we measure their dog and their room together, and then we build it.

How the gift works

  1. Pick a designChoose the piece and tell us whose pet it is for. The breed is enough, we measure properly later.
  2. Print the cardThe card shows the design, your words and their names. Print it here, and we email it to you as well.
  3. We build it in the new yearThey tell us the measurements and pick the finish. You get the drawing and the fixed price, and you pay once it is approved.

  • Nothing to pay until you approve itAsk for changes first, as many as you need.
  • Every size checked by our workshopWe make sure your pet fits before we cut a board.

Questions about giving a piece

Who pays, and when?
You do, once the drawing is approved. The card itself is free. In January we send the drawing and the fixed price, and nothing is paid before both of you are happy with it.
Can they change the design?
Yes. The card is for a piece built around their pet. They can change the design, the size and the finish. The price follows the drawing.
Does the card show a price?
No. You see the starting price here, and you get the fixed price with the drawing. Tell us a budget in the notes and we keep the design within it.
When does it arrive?
We build in 6 to 10 weeks after the drawing is approved. A card made in December usually means delivery in February or March.
Where do you deliver?
To Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and on request to other countries in Europe. Import VAT and delivery are added to the price.
Is it a cash voucher?
No. It is a gift card for one piece, made to measure. It has no cash value and does not expire.

Made by a furniture company, not a pet shop

Barkitecture is the dog and cat furniture line of our family furniture company, Sweet Home, in Tomislavgrad, Bosnia and Herzegovina, which has made furniture since 2003. The same workshop builds kitchens and furniture for homes in Germany, on the same machines and with the same Blum hardware.

You see the drawing and the fixed price before you pay anything. The deposit only starts the build.

Rather design it yourself?

In the design studio you add your dog, say what the piece should do and shape every module in 3D. Then send it to us. You get a scaled drawing and a fixed price within 48 hours. Nothing to pay until you approve it.
