Privacy policy
What we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Last updated 29 September 2026.
Who is responsible
David Skocibusic, trading as Barkitecture, Mijata Tomica 107, 80240 Tomislavgrad, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Email hello@barkitecture.eu, phone +387 63 050 308.
We have not appointed a data protection officer, because the law does not require one for a business of our size. Write to the email above with any question about your data.
Quote requests and builder designs
When you send a quote request or a design from the builder, we receive what you type in: your name, your email, your country, details about your dog and your room, and your notes. From the builder we also receive the design itself, a link that opens it again, and a picture of it.
We use this only to answer you, draw your piece and make you an offer. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, steps you ask for before a contract.
The form sends your message through Resend (Resend, Inc., USA), which delivers it to our inbox and sends you a confirmation. Resend processes it for us under a data processing agreement, from its EU region in Ireland where possible. Our address hello@barkitecture.eu is forwarded by our domain provider Porkbun (USA) to a Google Gmail inbox (Google Ireland Limited). Transfers to the USA rely on the EU standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
We keep your request for as long as we are talking about an order, and at most two years after our last contact. If you order, we keep what tax and accounting law requires, usually ten years.
If you choose to send your request by WhatsApp, the message goes through WhatsApp (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited) under their terms and privacy policy. We only use it to answer you.
Hosting and server logs
The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). When you open a page, Vercel processes technical data such as your IP address, the page, the time and your browser, to deliver the page and keep the service secure. This is our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Vercel keeps these logs for a short time only. Our fonts are stored on our own server, so opening a page does not send data to Google Fonts.
Google Analytics, only with your consent
If you click Accept in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) to count visits and see which pages help people find us. It sets cookies (_ga and _ga_*) for up to two years and processes a shortened IP address, your device and browser, and the pages you view. Google may process this in the USA.
The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and the ePrivacy rules. If you click Decline, or do nothing, Google Analytics does not load. You can change your choice at any time.
We store your choice in your browser (localStorage key bk-consent). That is technically necessary and needs no consent.
The builder
The 3D builder runs in your browser. Your design is saved in the page address, so you can copy the link, and nothing about it reaches us until you send it.
Your rights
You can ask us what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its use, and receive it in a portable format (Articles 15 to 21 GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time, with effect for the future. Write to us at the email above.
You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the one where you live or work. In Bosnia and Herzegovina that is the Personal Data Protection Agency (azlp.ba).
We do not sell your data and we do not make automated decisions about you.
Changes
We update this page when the site changes. The date at the top shows the current version.
