Cats eat best from wide, shallow bowls a little off the floor, with the rim around elbow height. For most cats that is 10-15 cm. The bowls sit in a pull-out drawer, so you fill and wash them standing up, then slide them away.

With a dog in the house, the cat's food needs a place the dog cannot reach. We put the bowls behind a cat door, or on a raised level the cat jumps up to. Water goes a little away from the food, which many cats prefer.

Height: Bowl height set from your cat, not a standard size.
Bowls: Wide, shallow steel bowls, so the whiskers do not touch the sides.
Food: A cupboard or deep drawer sized for your bag, tins and pouches.
Surfaces: Matt finishes that wipe clean, a removable mat under the bowls and every edge banded.

Raised bowls sit at about elbow height. That is kinder to older cats and to flat-faced breeds. We check the numbers against your own cat.

Questions

Should cat bowls be raised?

A little helps many cats, especially older ones with stiff necks. Around 10-15 cm is enough for most. We set it from your cat's height.

How do I stop the dog eating the cat food?

Give the cat a place the dog cannot get to. That is either a compartment behind a small cat door or a level above the dog's reach. Tell us the size of your dog and we plan it.

Can it feed two cats?

Yes. Two sets of bowls side by side, or at two ends of the piece if your cats prefer to eat apart.
