Large dogs outgrow ready-made crate furniture first. XL in a catalogue usually means a Labrador at best.

A Great Dane needs a den about 120 cm long and 120 cm tall. Very little furniture is that big, so most large dogs end up in a wire crate in the corner. We build the furniture around the den instead.

For the biggest dogs a raised open bed often works better than a closed den. Pavilion gives a Great Dane a roof and a mattress without a box around it.

Den: Room to stand, turn and stretch out, sized to your dog.
Frame: A plinth or frame that takes a big dog climbing in every day.
Doors: Wide openings, and sliding doors that do not swing into the room.
Forms: Console, sideboard, crate cabinet or an open raised bed.

Outside size with one 50 cm drawer or cupboard section next to the den. For large dogs the piece gets taller than a normal sideboard or TV stand. Sizes for the larger dog of each breed, from breed standards. We check them against your own dog.

Questions

What is the largest dog you build for?

Great Danes and other giant breeds. The piece gets big, so we check the room and the way in for delivery first.

Will my dog chew it?

Some do, especially young dogs. Tell us if yours chews. We keep edges away from the opening or suggest waiting until the chewing phase is over.
