Notes on the drawing
Pavilion is for large dogs and for dogs that run warm. The frame is open on every side, so air moves through. The mattress sits off the cold floor and the entry is low enough for old joints. The slatted roof gives the feeling of a den without closing it in.
- Orthopedic mattress
- A 15 cm mattress with a firm base and a memory foam top layer. It keeps heavy dogs off hard floors, which matters for hips and elbows.
- Low step-in
- The mattress sits 12 cm off the floor. Old dogs and big dogs walk in rather than jump.
- Open on four sides
- Nothing traps heat. Good for thick coats, warm flats and dogs that like to watch the room.
- Built to carry weight
- A braced frame and base sized for the dog. Strong enough for a 60 kg dog leaning on it.
- Canopy options
- Open slats, slats with a linen canopy, or a closed roof that doubles as a shelf.
