What a German Shepherd needs

German Shepherds are prone to hip and elbow dysplasia. A thick orthopedic mattress off the floor makes a real difference to a big dog that sleeps 12 hours a day. They also like a view of the door, so an open frame suits them better than a closed box.

Length: Nose to tail base plus 15 cm, about 100 cm.
Height: Clears a standing head by 8 cm, about 95 cm.
Width: 70% of the length, room to turn and curl up. About 70 cm.
