Notes on the drawing

Terrace is for small dogs, older dogs and long-backed breeds. It gives them a safe way onto the sofa or the bed instead of a jump. The steps are drawers. The lowest tier hides a small den for the afternoon nap.

Rise matched to your dog: We set the step height from your dog and your sofa. Usually 12-18 cm per step, never more than a dog can take without jumping.
Wool carpet treads: Inlaid wool carpet on every tread, flush with the wood. Grip for claws and quiet under paws.
Drawers in every step: Push-to-open drawers for throws, toys and grooming kit. No handles for a dog to catch.
Den on the lowest tier: A felt-lined nook with a cushion, reached from the side, for dogs that want a lower spot too.
Rounded edges: Every nose and corner is rounded to a 6 mm radius. Kind to paws, kind to shins.
