What a Dachshund needs
Dachshunds carry a high risk of disc disease, and jumping off furniture is one of the known triggers. Steps up to the sofa are the single most useful thing you can buy a dachshund. They also burrow, so a deep, covered nest suits them. Their length means a den must be long rather than tall.
